 PINOY FIESTA 2011: The Historic Filipino Cultural Street Parade and Festival in Vancouver!
August 6, 2011, 9:00am - 11:00pm

The PINOY FIESTA 2011 will feature two colorful events:

1) STREET PARADE

Assembly area:  Pacific Boulevard corner of Abbott Street and Carall Street.

Assembly time: 8:30am

Parade Starts: Exactly 10:00am

Parade route: Pacific Boulevard (near Abbott Street/Rogers Arena) > Quebec Street >  1st Avenue > Columbia Street > Athletes Way > Olympic Village Plaza

The Parade will have a cultural theme featuring cultures of the various regions in the Philippines such as:

* Ati-Atihan Festival of Aklan
* Igorot Culture/ Panagbenga Festival of Baguio
* Masskara Festival of Bacolod
* Sinulog Festival of Cebu
* Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo
* Kalilangan Festival of Gensan
* will also showcase Philippine national fashion like Mestiza gown, Barong, Filipiniana and many more

Various Filipino associations, business, professional and civic groups will follow the parade to showcase their own unique costumes. We are expecting thousands to participate in this parade, either as marchers or as spectators lining the street of Vancouver.

2) FIESTA EXTRAVAGANZA - at The Olympic Village on False Creek ground will showcase various aspects of Filipino culture - featuring a full day food fair, trade exhibits, business expo and live entertainment by ABS CBN Kapamilya artists and popular local Pinoy bands and artists.

Form a group and join the street parade. Just like the Vaisakhi Festival of Punjabi and Lunar Parade of Chinese community, the Filipino community will celebrate and showcase Philippine culture in the street of Vancouver.

We also encourage you to participate in this event by becoming a sponsor. Our business and sponsor booths will allow local entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services to the thousands of people who will attend the festival. The magnitude of this event, the significant exposure it creates, and the various opportunities it provides for public contact, will be a benefit to sponsoring organizations.

Be proud to be Pinoy! Magkaisa Tayo! Sama sama nating ipakita ang kulturang Pilipino.

Hala Bira Pinoy!
